Michael C. Smith

Michael Smith is going to run for president. His views intersect with mine, and his platform is something I can get behind. Here is the excerpt:

I’m a Republican who is frustrated that the most prominent voices of the Republican Party are those of the extreme right and religious fundamental community. I’d like to see a more moderate discussion within the Republican Party that reflects more accurately the views of the people.

I completely agree with this.

Separation of church and state is definitely not being respected these days, and Ted Haggard himself admits that the evangelicals determine the election.

Creepy.

Ron Paul for President

Posted by hardwarehank, Thu Jan 11 18:32:00 UTC 2007

So far, I’ve seen very few presidential candidates. But today, Ron Paul announced his running for the presidency. He’s a libertarian who wants us out of Iraq ASAP. His reasoning is well-founded on history. When the vote comes up in about 8 months, I will have to consider him strongly. Also, as with any educated vote, I’ll have to check into his background some more. I also like his opposition of social security for illegal immigrants. So, for now, Go Ron!
